About

My artwork is part of an ongoing narrative interpreting ideas about society, memory, and identity—working as a transmitter of history and engaged with a visual language. The disruption, translation, and recasting of space figures prominently in my creative process. Ideas and works have led to hybrid installations that straddle the boundaries between video, audio, photography, print, sculpture, installation and object-based art. This allows me to approach one discipline through another.

Ideas are guided by aesthetics and grounded in a definite social context that resonates with present-day realities. I’m looking for a visual and creative language to participate in a global discussion. I’m questioning how the past is recorded and remembered, and putting forth a radical alternative. Historically art has served as a means of bearing witness to and as an agent of social change. It's these tensions and struggles that can define a given era, dictating how it is remembered by future generations.
