My practice is an unconventional form of documentary and personal reportage in which historical narratives are revisited through a visual language. Ideas are guided by aesthetics and grounded in a definite social context that resonates with present-day realities. I look for a visual and creative language to participate in a global discussion. In projects created through extensive research, I try to uncover layers of meaning — turning to experience as a means of conveying shared stories whether real or fictional. Underlying this multifaceted approach is an interest in reinventing traditional, linear modes of storytelling.
